Hair removal can be done in many ways, using a variety of devices.
Each have their positives and negatives.
Epilators use small tweezers to pluck your hairs from your skin and if you can stomach a little pain, you’ll soon agree that this is the best kind of hair removal device available.
Laser Hair Removal/IPL is trending upwards fast.
This is the only method of hair removal that is proven to permanently reduce hair growth and it can be used all over your body.
Waxing has been used for years and years, since the Egyptians and the Romans.
Obviously techniques and waxes have been refined over time and today this is still one of the most commonly used hair removal methods.
But there are so many products out there!
Which is why…
Whether you’re looking for the best rated hair removal device for a method you already use or you just want to try something new and want the best, we’re going to check out the best of the best within these 3 categories.
The Best at Home Hair Removal Devices:
Epilators for Full Body & Facial Hair
I’m going to recommend 2 epilators to you here.
One is the best rated epilator on the market for full body use, and the other is the best rated epilator for facial use.
The reason i’m doing this is because people have different goals with hair removal. If you just wanted to remove facial hair, I have an epilator that is absolutely unbeatable for that.
If you want a more all-rounder epilator that can do legs and bikini line and underarms, I also have a recommendation.
The Philips Satinelle for Full Body Epilation
The Queen of full-body epilation. The Satinelle has been ranked number 1 on Amazon for a while.
It’s a smaller epilator than most, but when you want flexibility to remove hair from your whole body then this is a good thing.
It has 21 hypoallergenic discs that are made to pluck hair and increase cleanliness.
The fact that it’s corded means it can’t be used in the shower but you’ll never have to worry about it running out of battery. If you want something cordless, then check out our Top Epilators of 2015. The Silk Epil 7 is a great bet.
The Braun Face 810 for Facial Epilation
If you want a device that is designed to remove facial hair, this is the absolute best epilator money can buy.
Braun has a history of making great epilators and this is actually the first facial epilator/cleanser on the market.
It has a smaller head and is ergonomically built to be perfect for upper lips, eyebrows, chin and even neck hair.
Because it has the facial cleansing brush attachment, it has become one of my favorite devices that I use regularly.
Laser Hair Removal/IPL
This is the only hair removal method approved by the FDA as being able to permanently reduce hair growth.
These products are still a little expensive due to the nature of the technology…
Which is why i’m going to recommend the best rated device, and the best you can get for a lower price.
Remington IPL6000
In my opinion, when you’re spending this kind of money on a device, its best to go for the trusted brands.
Remington is definitely one of those brands.
The IPL6000 is clinically proven and approved for home use by the FDA.
I think this is the best rated IPL hair removal device you can buy. It will last you a while and replacement bulbs can be bought on Amazon.
Veet Infini’Silk
This device is a cheaper option while maintaining a high level of quality.
It’s actually taking the number 2 spot on Amazon at the time of writing this, so it’s still a hugely popular device!
The Infini’silk uses the same technology you get at a salon for a fraction of the price.
It’s a well trusted brand so you know you won’t be buying cheap crap and its super easy to use.
Waxing Products
As waxing isn’t strictly a device, i’ll keep this last one short.
But there is a device used with waxing that I feel like I should mention if waxing is your preferred method of hair removal.
GiGi Brazilian Waxing Kit
So this kit is rated number 1 in a few categories on Amazon, which is why I thought I should add it to my list.
If you want to wax at home there’s no complete set that’s as good as this one.
You get the wax heater machine, the wax, a bunch of applicator sticks and even an instructional DVD if it’s your first time!
Out of over 1,000 reviews this set has consistently stayed above 4 stars (currently 4.3!).
